There has been so much excitement and planning building for the last six months that is is easy to panic, lose sleep, and become nervous. Remember this is not a performance, it is an experience created to help simulate the Real World. Recognize that its inevitable that something will go wrong but because you have planned so well and so thoroughly, many more things will go right and smoothly. This event may even become one of the most sought after events because your team was committed to helping youths. Everyone will love it and you'll sleep so well - afterwards!
Review the personalized announcements and locations for the follow up group meetings with the Announcer (MC). Make and adjustments and/or add items necessary for the location (such as traffic concerns, or if another group will be using part of the building).
Be sure to have this celebration and evaluation date scheduled before the day of the Real World. It should be at least two weeks but no more than six weeks after the event. The RW Evaluation has several spreadsheets to help compile the data and other information from the youth and participants. It also includes a process for the RW Committee to consider the Strengths and Needs of the event which will help for planning future events.

Touch base with your list of adult volunteers available to "fill in." If you do not have a job for them, confirm that they will be in attendance, just in case.
Print the merged documents. Adjust formatting as needed. Print two copies - hold one in case the other is lost.
Print the merged documents (rosters). Adjust formatting as needed to fit names while allowing a line for their signature. Print two copies - hold one in case the other is lost.
Merge the youth database with the Youth Labels template. Again be sure to reformat as needed to accommodate long names and stay within the size of the label. These labels will be placed on the Participant packets when youths check in. Avoid pre-labeling the packets: some youths will not show up and it can become a mess (trust me on this) to find the packet with the youths' name or add a substitute youth. It's much easier to secure the label when the youth checks in and the packet is provided. Be sure to have blank labels for walk ins.

Last minute signs are usually related to something at the location that was unexpected. It may be helpful to have some materials on-site to make a sign if needed.
This is the best opportunity to pack any supplies not already packed such as last minute Sponsor Lists or first aid materials.
Whenever possible, bring all materials to the Real World site the day before - even if all you can do is unpack. It makes the next morning go much smoother when all the materials are already on-site.
